The Fundación Xana has signed an agreement with the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital with the aim of improving comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children hospitalized with serious illnesses and providing strengthened support for their families.
The collaboration, approved on October 28, came into operation this past week after finalizing the referral circuits between the professional teams. This structured framework ensures that families in need receive agile and effective access to all available resources.
Under this agreement, the Fundación Xana becomes a collaborating entity of the public hospital and will provide support to families referred by the Social Work service. This support includes financial assistance, accommodation and emotional support, with the aim of reducing the social, emotional, and logistical impact of facing a child’s serious illness

With this alliance, both organizations join forces to provide better care, consolidating a model of assistance that places children and their families at the center.
