Mission

Our mission is to provide comprehensive assistance and support to children and young people affected by oncological diseases and other serious illnesses, as well as to their families.

Vision

We strive to be a strong support system on all fronts – emotionally, physically, financially and organisationally – to make the challenging journey that children and their families undergo as manageable as possible, providing them with the highest level of assistance.

Values and Transparency

We conduct our activities with responsibility, rigour, integrity and transparency. The Fundación Xana, registered in the Government of Catalonia’s Registry of Foundations, annually audits its accounts and makes the Foundation’s statutes, financial and activity reports available on this website.

Asturian mythology speaks of the pure, crystalline waters of its streams and waterfalls, inhabited by nymphs known as "Xanas", whose magic protected nature and its inhabitants. The "Xanas" were gentle, sensitive beings, always smiling. At the Fundación Xana, we aim to revive the spirit of these mythical creatures to assist paediatric patients and their families throughout the process of their illness.
