Xana Foundation, beneficiary entity of the 45th El Corte Inglés Race

April 8, 2025.- This Tuesday, the 45th El Corte Inglés Race was officially presented, the emblematic popular athletic event that brings together thousands of runners along the 10 kilometers of a circuit that runs through some of the most emblematic points of the city. The event will be on May 11th and will be very special for the Xana Foundation, since this year the foundation has been chosen as the beneficiary social entity by the organizers of the race.

For us it is a huge honor to be the solidarity partner of the legendary Cursa El Corte Inglés. When they told us about it we were very excited. We are very excited and looking forward to this day, which we are convinced will be magical. For the foundation it also means a huge opportunity to give visibility to the problems that so many families are experiencing and it is a great speaker that allows us to reach a wider audience about our work, our future goals and continue growing to be able to help more families“, explained Bela Cullell, director of the Xana Foundation after adding that “our motto is join the Xana team and on this day the dream will come true since we all run with this spirit of solidarity“.

Today, more than 25,000 people have registered, joining the two million participants who have taken part in this event over the past forty-four editions, which maintains that it is free as its main value. Many of them will be able to wear the charity t-shirt that El Corte Inglés and the sports brand Under Armour have put on sale today.

A limited edition designed by Edgar Plans, the profits from which will go entirely to the Xana Foundation. “The t-shirt that Edgar designed with the image of the superheroine very well conveys Xana’s energy, the smile she always had and her friendliness. I am convinced that she would have been the first to run and that on May 11 we will all feel her energy,” said Elena Cullell, founding patron of the Foundation and Xana’s mother.

An image of the superheroine Xana and her friends running through the Eixample district of Barcelona by artist Edgar Plans, who has once again put his talent at the service of the foundation and also of the Race. “I am proud to have participated in the design of the T-shirt and the poster for the Race because I am a big fan of running and because it is a solidarity issue that is celebrated in Barcelona, a city that I love. I wanted to make a poster that was linked to the city through the Plà Cerdà and the Eixample district. I wanted to do it this way so that people could see that people are running in the city and for the Xana Foundation, the foundation with which I collaborate.”
