The Xana Foundation's art therapy project is an innovative endeavour enabling us to offer therapeutic support to participating children and young people, fostering positive and lasting changes in their life experiences and personal growth.
Art therapy yields numerous benefits. Through this approach, the participating children are encouraged to express their emotions, find emotional calm, connect with or disconnect from feelings, and dream while engaging in creative activities and enjoying the moment.
Art therapy sessions are designed to be conducted in groups. The shared creative space fosters a unique energy that often feels infectious. Often, through group work, even the most reserved individuals often discover newfound motivation and a means of self-expression.
Before each session, we carefully evaluate the best therapeutic approach for every child and young person. If any challenges arise, individual art therapy sessions are available to address them.
Creative and spontaneous play emerges from the subtlest impulses, deeply linked to our inner motivations. This process opens us up to a new realm where participants become the authors and protagonists of their own narratives. They seize the present moment, infuse it with fresh meaning, have fun, laugh, inspire one another and find joy again. Hope gives us the strength to keep going and imagine better days ahead!
