Luis Enrique: “We are very happy to announce a wonderful project with Nimbl, which allows us to unite the Xana Foundation with the world of cycling, one of my greatest passions, through their high-quality shoes.”
March 18, 2025 – The high-performance cycling shoe brand Nimbl has launched a limited-edition shoe in collaboration with the Xana Foundation to support children and their families suffering from serious illnesses. The shoe is a true work of art, co-designed with Edgar Plans, creator of the superheroine who brings the foundation’s logo to life. This very special limited edition (only 220 units have been produced) can be purchased on the nimbl.cc website or by participating in the auction to win unique pieces worn by world-class cyclists who will participate in important events on the international cycling calendar, such as the 2025 Milan-San Remo and the Volta a Catalunya, among others. “I’ve spoken many times about my passion for cycling. Whenever I can, I enjoy cycling to the fullest. For me, it represents a moment of freedom and passion, and it motivates me to solve many situations in my work,” explains Luis Enrique Martínez, founding trustee of the Xana Foundation, adding, “We are very happy to announce a wonderful project with Nimbl, which allows us to unite the world of cycling with the foundation through its high-quality shoes. Edgar Plans, the designer of the foundation’s logo, has also joined this project. There are only a limited number of shoes, and I’m sure they will sell out soon and that people will want to collaborate by uniting cycling with a charitable cause through high-quality equipment. It’s a great opportunity for all of us who love cycling,” he concludes.
Francesco Sergio: “It’s an honor to present this shoe to the world.”
Challenge, sacrifice, and determination: these are the values that have strengthened the bond between Nimbl and the Xana Foundation, which has given life to a charitable project that combines the power of sport with the fight against disease. “We are proud to present this shoe to the world,” says Francesco Sergio, co-founder of Nimbl. “It is the result of a feeling, not just a concept. We have been personally touched since we had the privilege of learning about the story of the Xana Foundation and what it does for families in difficult times. From this commitment came the idea of creating something that could tell these stories in our own way, on the road, just as the Nimbl character does. So not only will our users be able to purchase the LDT and contribute to the Foundation’s initiatives, but WT riders wearing our brand will carry this important message during an iconic race like Milan-San Remo. Cycling has taught us so much and can still teach us every day through small actions. A short message can remind us why life has so much value, even in the most difficult times.”
